Father Damien was a true example of selfless love. Through the love of Christ, he cared for people with leprosy and restored their dignity. He lived the teaching that there is no greater love than giving one's life for others. Even after his death, his life and example continue to inspire people to show compassion and love in a world that often lacks both.
