Some books are written; others are received. This one came to me as a pilgrimage along the wondrous paths of God's will. To know from close at hand the spiritual and pastoral journey of Moran Mor Baselios Cleemis Catholicos Father and Head of the Malankara Syrian Catholic Church and Cardinal of the universal Church been, for me, a long encounter with divine grace, and it is that grace which these pages seek to record. This book is therefore less a work of authorship than an act of gratitude; and the story of how it came to be written is itself deeply personal.
